Good questions.
Which formula do I take when?
Cognition in the morning, Vitality around midday, Harmony in the evening. Each one slots into a moment you already have: your morning coffee, your lunch break, your evening cuppa.
Can I take all three?
Yes. They're designed as one daily system, spread across the day, and no ingredient appears in more than one formula. If you're on any prescription medication, check with your doctor first (see below).
What's the difference between coffee, tea and capsules?
The format, not the formula. Each formula is built around the same 1,500mg premium botanical stack per serving. Coffee and tea fit the cup you already drink; capsules are for days you're on the move.
How do I take it?
Coffee: about one heaped tablespoon a cup, brewed however you like. Tea: about one heaped teaspoon a cup, steeped like your usual rooibos. Capsules: two capsules with a meal.
Is there caffeine in it?
Cognition Coffee is real coffee, so yes. Vitality and Harmony teas are rooibos-based and caffeine-free, and none of the capsules contain caffeine.
I'm on medication, pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I take it?
Please check with your doctor first. In particular: Cognition contains Ginkgo (take care with blood-thinning medication); Vitality contains Ashwagandha (take care with thyroid or diabetes medication, or a liver condition); Harmony contains Sceletium (not for use with antidepressants such as SSRIs, SNRIs or MAOIs unless your doctor approves). Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without your healthcare provider's advice.
What does the SAHPRA line on the label mean?
SAHPRA is South Africa's health products regulator. Complementary medicines are being brought into registration in stages, and until a product has been through that process, SAHPRA requires this exact wording on it: "This unregistered medicine has not been evaluated by the SAHPRA for its quality, safety or intended use." You'll see the same line on many complementary products in South Africa.
Where do the ingredients come from?
Our whole fruiting body mushrooms are grown in South Africa. Every ingredient comes with a supplier certificate of analysis, and every batch carries a batch number.
Can I buy in a store?
Yes, Nootroceutics is stocked in selected retail stores. WhatsApp us and we'll point you to your nearest one. Note that your sign-up code is for orders placed directly with us.
How does delivery work?
Order all three formulas and delivery is free. For everything else, delivery is quoted in the WhatsApp chat, based on where you are.
How do I pay?
By EFT, or by card through a secure payment link we send in the chat. We never ask for card details over WhatsApp.
